These points are bonus only — they supplement missed points or assignments but do not add to the total points possible.
How It Works
- Find — Spot an error in lectures, slideshows, worksheets, problem sets, or any course material
- Document — Download the template below and fill it out completely
- Submit — Upload your completed form to the Bug Bounty assignment on Canvas
Rubric (10 points per bug)

| Discovery | 2 | Clearly identify the specific location (lecture #, slide #, page, question #) |
| Explanation | 3 | Explain why it is wrong — show you understand the correct concept |
| Correction | 3 | Provide the correct information with evidence or reasoning |
| Defense | 2 | How you found it and why you're confident it's an error |
Rules
- Bugs must be genuine errors (typos, wrong formulas, incorrect data, logical errors, broken links)
- Cosmetic or style preferences do not count
- Each bug must be submitted separately
- Duplicate reports — first verified submission gets credit
- Instructor's decision on verification is final
- Maximum 100 bonus points per semester (10 bugs)
