Find a Bug, Earn Bonus Points!

Spotted an error in the course materials? Report it and earn 10 bonus points per verified bug — up to 100 points for the semester.

These points are bonus only — they supplement missed points or assignments but do not add to the total points possible.

How It Works
  1. Find — Spot an error in lectures, slideshows, worksheets, problem sets, or any course material
  2. Document — Note the exact location, why it is wrong, and the correction
  3. Submit — Use the form on this page. It is saved for Dr. Downes. GitHub and Canvas are not required.

  • Bugs must be genuine errors (typos, wrong formulas, incorrect data, logical errors, broken links)
  • Cosmetic or style preferences do not count
  • Each bug must be submitted separately
  • Duplicate reports — first verified submission gets credit
  • Instructor's decision on verification is final
  • Maximum 100 bonus points per semester (10 bugs)
Submit a report

Fill this out once per bug. Required fields are marked. The explanation, correction, and defense are what the rubric scores.
